I had the privilege of working on Jennie's wedding at the end of March. I say privilege because I loved everything about it. The venue, the flowers, the dresses, the walk down Grafton Street -everything!
The bouquets were made up of roses, stocks, waxflower, peonies and soft foliage.
The bridal bouquet contained among other things, antique looking Amnesia roses and lily of the valley. Belle, Vendella and Sweet Avalanche roses.
The flower girl posy was just the sweetest little thing.
The church flowers were made up from the same selection of flowers along with soft foliage such as Lamb’s Ear. This matching pair were destined for the chair backs.
The pew ends were decorated with natural looking posies.
A unity candle arrangement holding chunky church candles was made for the main table in the Unitarian Church on Stephen’s Green.
When the church was finished it was over to The Westin, to cover the chairs with pristine white covers and silver organza sashes.
When that was finished it was a dash back over to the church to collect the flowers. The bride and groom were enjoying a stroll down Grafton Street and a pint in Bruxelles so there was plenty of time to use the flowers in a new way – as you might have realised by now – I don’t like to waste anything!
The pew ends were taken apart and placed in to glass bowls with some pussy willow. I loved these – they were like spring in a vase!
The chair backs and unity arrangement were placed on the horseshoe top table.
Hopefully there’ll be some professional shots from this wedding to come when the bride returns from honeymoon.
