I first met Aine over a year before her celebrations were due to take place. That was way back before I had a shop or any connection to Ballymagarvey Village. Our meeting was at my kitchen table – so I was really delighted that she had the trust in me to create her flowers. Not sure if my homemade carrot cake won her over?
Fast forward to November 2012 and Aine still put her faith in me - leaving final flower choices to me and not even requesting a second meeting. She has since emailed these most beautiful pictures and her thanks. Quite simply it was my pleasure! Fun people, a stunning setting, lush autumnal colours and all on our doorstep. First stop was Dunboyne to deliver the bouquets – always an enjoyable bit for us…
We like to tag everything just in case anyone wonders which flowers are theirs!
Not forgetting the men…
Aine’s bouquet was a stunning mix of Avalanche and David Austin rose, Freesias, Lisianthus and Euphorbia.
Kilbride Church was decorated with a gorgeous array of autumnal loveliness. Roses, oak leaves, sedum, waxflower and berries.
The heart was a lovely choice of Aines and looked really sweet under the altar.
We’ll show you part 2 in an another posting so you can see how all the church flowers were re-used.
